I almost forgot about my blog, until Kait mentioned updating her's a couple days ago. Yes, its been a while now. This month was crazy with so many things going on with Kait and myself. Here's a quick summary of what we've been up to:

- Finding a new apartment for Kait
- Painting new apartment
- Moving Kait's stuff to the new apartment
- Cleaning the old apartment
- Helping Kait with some financing stuff
- Selling Kait's old car
- Furniture shopping

The craziest thing that happened was having the electricity to the apartment lost due to a breaker trip. The main breaker was in a separate room that we didn't have access to, so we had to talk to the manager who proceeded to give us heck for changing the wall switches/plugs. Getting her to turn the power back on was a chore.

Work has been horrible. Some good co-workers have been let go and I feel they were wronged by it. I'm currently looking for a new job, although its up to God where he wants me to work and I would have to accept staying at my current place if that's what he wanted.

I've had some of the best times with Kait this month. She makes me laugh so hard. She hardly has to even do anything. Its so fun just talking with her and play fighting with her - we don't have to do anything spectacular to keep each other entertained.

Anyway, June should be a little more relaxing for Kait and I. I will try my best to keep everyone updated a little more often than I have been lately.

Well looks like I've fully recovered from my sore throat. I'm feeling great now. All the sores have healed from my mouth as well.

A few things going on in my life right now
- helping Kait look for a new apartment
- training with Kait for a 5K run
- reading through devotional books with Kait
- finishing up a project at work

I'm excited about Kait moving. Her current apartment is nice, but its not in the greatest area. She's also been there for quite a while now and its suitable to move out during this stage in her life now that she's left a lot of things behind in her past. We already looked at one place on Sunday - it was okay. There are a couple more places to look at on Tuesday, and maybe some more this weekend. Her lease ends in June, so we're really hoping to find something soon. Its one of our higher priority prayer items.

Kait and I are trying to run regularly. Four times a week would be ideal, but the weather in Edmonton is so crappy sometimes that it just wrecks our plans. We want to go on some runs this summer just to stay healthy and in good shape.

Okay. I've had sore throats many times in my life, but what I experienced last weekend was far more awful than anything I remember. A viral infection of my throat (and maybe ears) caused a fluctuating fever, chills, headaches, and a very sore throat. The latter was probably the most fustrating, as it was a sharp pain every time I swallowed. Most of it is over now. But my immune system was being dumb and decided to direct an attack at my mouth in addition to the virus. A few sores appeared on the inside of my mouth, throat, tongue, and lips. Very annoying. The doctor assured me that they would heal on their own though. I really can't wait until I'm over this all.

Ahhhhh. Its good to be back in Edmonton. Indiana was interesting, but mostly because I was away from Kait, I couldn't enjoy it to the full extent as I would if she came with me. You have to make sacrifices one in a while though. I knew that by going on this trip that my department manager would be happy, and happy = good. Especially with all that's going on in the company right now, I want to step on as little feet as possible. I would never go on another business trip though. Its just too stressful being away from Kait for more than a couple days (I even get missing pains when I'm away from her for a few minutes!). If they want me to go again they'll have to send Kait with me hehe.

The flight back to Edmonton was okay - The last route from Denver, Colorado to Edmonton was a bit bumpy. I can't remember how many times I got shrills up my back from the plane bumping up and down very quickly. Once I arrived in Edmonton a huge grin came on my face. I knew that I would be seeing Kait very soon and I hadn't been that excited ever in my life! I do feel bad, though, for not recognizing Kait once I arrived in the Airport foyer. she told me that her hair was short and red, but I still didn't recognize her sitting down on a chair with her sunglasses. My bad. I am so sorry Kait! But once she got up and starting running to me I had a double-take as it seemed like she came out of nowhere. It was such an undescribable feeling getting to hold her again in my arms and kiss her. We quickly got "used" to being around each other again and spent the next couple of days never leaving each other's side (except for going home to sleep of course).

Since then not too much has been going on. Kait and I are starting to jog a lot more, as well as going through a couple books together on sexual integrity. Work has been crazy busy, but I'm managing. I'm starting to feel a little sick, but I think I can't fight it off before it gets worse. That's about it.

Despite being away from the one that completes me, this weekend was fairly entertaining and able to keep me from going crazy.

Yesterday I travelled to Chicago via train where I spent most of my time at the Lincoln Park Zoo. It was fun looking at all the animals - the Lions, Tigers, Elephants, and Bears were the more interesting beasts they had on display. Other small animals were cute to look at as well. I spent the rest of the my day travelling to and from the zoo and Chicago. Once I was in Chicago, I had no idea how to get to the zoo and had to chase down a bus that would take me there. Traffic was crazy downtown hehe.

Today I went to an African American church. It was somewhat like what I expected: the preacher used lots of body movements, the congregation said lots in participation, and people were dancing at random times. However, I did not expect the amount of attention I was given because I was a guest there, and the spasms that some people went into kind of startled me as well. It was also 3 hours long! But it was a new experience and one that I'll take with me wherever I go.

That pretty much sums up the interesting points in my weekend. It sure went by quickly. I was able to talk with Kait on the phone Saturday night. It was so soothing to hear her voice again. We miss each other so much. I won't be going on another trip any time soon, and one not this long for sure. We both are starting to go crazy being away from each other so long.
